The Indonesian Scholarship and Research Support Foundation (ISRSF) is a non-profit organization that offers scholarships to Indonesian students for postgraduate/doctoral studies and supports research in the social sciences in Indonesia in collaboration with national universities. ISRSF has established a consortium of Institutes for Advanced Research (IFARs) at partner universities to create environments conducive to original research, especially in the social sciences, economics and policy studies.
ISRSF and the Lembaga Penyelidikan Ekonomi dan Masyarakat (LPEM) have established a new IFAR at the University of Indonesia, the fourth member of the IFAR Consortium. IFAR-LPEM will provide research fellowships to young scholars with exceptional potential, including former recipients of Arryman Scholarships awarded by ISRSF. These fellows will also have opportunities to participate in LPEM research and in some cases to offer courses in the Faculty of Economics of the University of Indonesia.
ISRSF seeks to recruit a part-time Director of IFAR-LPEM to provide intellectual and managerial leadership during the start-up phase of the new institute. The director will participate in selecting, mentoring and evaluating IFAR-LPEM fellows, with the goal of helping them publish their research internationally.
