The four 2014 Arryman Fellows – Muhammad Fajar, Luthfi Adam, Najmu Laila Sopian and Rahardhika Arista Utama – left Jakarta for Chicago on July 2, 2013. These fellows were selected in April 2013, and will spend one year in Chicago as non-degree graduate students at Northwestern University. Before departing for Northwestern University, the four fellows took one-month intensive English course at University of Indonesia’s International Language Institute. The course aims to provide the fellows the new TOEFL Internet-based Test (iBT) preparation training at upper-intermediate level of English proficiency.
The first Annual Arryman Symposium was held at the Ford Foundation auditorium, Jakarta, on June 21, 2013. The symposium – organized by ISRSF (Indonesian Scholarship and Research Support Foundation) in cooperation with the Ford Foundation – features the presentation of the three 2012 Arryman Fellows’ research papers they produced during their one academic year as non-degree graduate students at Northwestern University, Chicago.

President Northwestern University Morton Schapiro – accompanied by Vice-President for Alumni Relations and Development Robert McQuinn and Vice-President for Research Jay Walsh – visited Jakarta from April 2 to 6, 2013. The visit aims at bringing Northwestern University closer to Asia and Indonesia in particular. During a-five day visit, President Schapiro hosted a reception for Northwestern alumni, parents and students in Jakarta, at Hotel Indonesia Kempinski, on April 4.

Monday July 16, 2012. ISRSF hosts a Dinner Celebration by invitation only to inaugurate our Foundation, recognize the 2012 winners of the Arryman Fellow awards, and make the Jakarta announcement of the Equality Development and Globalization Studies (EDGS) Program at Northwestern University, USA.
